Calen Carr is a Brooklyn based on-air correspondent appearing at outlets like Major League Soccer, VICE News, SKY Sports News, TNT, and The Guggenheim’s “Works and Process” series. He hosted and produced the documentary series “The Movement” on soccer culture now available on Apple TV and works a match and studio analyst on Apple TV for MLS Season Pass.
Born and raised in Berkeley, CA, Carr went on to graduate from UC Berkeley with a degree in Media Studies. Afterward, he went on to play eight years in Major League Soccer, winning the US Open Cup, becoming a 2x MLS Cup Finalist, and competing in the CONCACAF Champions League. Carr scored the opening goal of the 2012 MLS Cup against LA Galaxy.
At Berkeley, Carr won the Pac-12 Player of the Year award, the Pac-12 Medal, All-American, and was named to the Pac-12 All-Century team. In 2019, Carr was inducted into the UC Berkeley Athletics Hall of Fame.
